Fans of Young Justice were jumping for joy months ago when it was officially announced a third season of the hit animated series was on the way. For Young Justice Writer-Producer Greg Weisman, he doesn’t want fans to stop there. He wants a new comic series as well and only the fans can help make it happen! Here’s what he had to say on the subject:

“Artist Christopher Jones and I are chomping at the bit to make more ‘Young Justice’ stories in comic book form,” he wrote. “Producing a comic book takes considerably less time than producing television episodes, so if we got a green light on a comic book series now, you could theoretically have new stories in a matter of months.”

How can that happen you might ask? The answer is simple: Buy the old Young Justice comics through digital platforms. Mr. Weisman went on to further explain:

“We just need to convince DC Comics that there’s a market for ‘YJ’ comics even before the third season premieres. Which begs the next question: How do we convince DC of that? And the answer is again simple. BUY THE COMICS THAT ALREADY EXIST!”

He also went on to explain that if you visit a comic shop and find a couple random issues, purchasing them would be secondary sales and DC wouldn’t see that, meaning it doesn’t count. If you purchase them on the DC app, Comixology or iTunes, the money would go in DC’s pocket and they would see the demand.

So Young Justice fans, let’s get out and help out Mr. Weisman and get to buying some books!!
