Fans of the CW’s Supergirl have been questioning if Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman would be getting his own TV series set in the Arrowverse and that has finally been answered by CW President Mark Pedowitz in an interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“Tyler did a great job. There’s no plan to do a series. There are no plans at the moment for him to return [to ‘Supergirl’]. If they wish to have him return, we’d love to have him.”

Entertainment Weekly went on to suggest that with Warner Bros having the Man of Steel in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League and the Man of Steel sequel that maybe its a rights issue. Mark said this of the subject:

“I can’t even answer the question yet because at this time there are no plans to do it and there have been no discussions about it,”

Although Tyler only appeared in two episodes of the second season of Supergirl, fans seem to have fell in love with his portrayal of the iconic character. My advice is, if you’re a fan of his and want more Superman, even though there is no series planned, reach out to CW and WB and let them know you love him. Who knows, maybe he’ll show up later this season or next?

Supergirl will return for the second half of the second season on January 23rd on the CW!
